Centenary 2009

white

2009 will mark the Centenary Year for Dunfermline Carnegie Cricket Club.

As a result, the Club are planning a number of events to mark this landmark, including:

-> Game versus Scotland 'Saltires' [link]
-> Game on Elie beach versus the Ship Inn
-> Sportsmans Dinner
-> Golf day
-> A 'History of Carnegie' publication
-> Civic Reception with the Mayor
-> Full set of Centenary clothing

These events are all to be confirmed and will be a massive challenge to pull off. Hosting games versus Scotland and Lashings XI are virtually unprecedented for teams of our size, so will represent a huge amount of planning and organisation; and thats before we put a team on the park. However, there is the potential for these events to make the club a good profit, provided they are well supported and marketed well.

3 former players have been recruited to help the Centenary Committee; Alan Potter, Jimmy Robertson and Alan Timmins.

We are looking for all members to help out, so please let Niall know if you want to be involved - as a motivational incentive, its been suggested that player selections versus Saltires and Lashings will reflect those people who contribute the most throughout the Centenary year!  So, what are you waiting for??!!
