Match report A battling performance from the seven men that Carnegie could muster. The Callan's made up a slightly unusual new ball partnership and surprised with accuracy and pace. Lafferty came on first change with his vastly underated off/leg spin and his first two deliveries spun past the edge of Seath's aggressive shot. The third delivery saw the batsman beaten by another sharply turning delivery, this time his middle stump was knocked back. Next up was Howis who was deceived by a googly and got a leading edge to Parsonage at short mid wicket who took a sharp chance. This left Lafferty on a hat-trick but despite the most attacking field in FPL history the ball was blocked. KP came on and bowled but was let down by some poor catching, Owen got a late wicket while Gudgeon was dismissed in the most unfortunate circumstances - caught Bruce Callan, bowled Murray Callan. In the end Broomhall managed 133-6.

Carnegie began their reply in the pitch black and Bruce and KP soon ran themselves out. Muzz went 1-4-6 and out, Lafferty went for 1 and Goody 4. JP and Don stood firm against some good bowling and picked off the bad ball. JP looked solid as a rock while Don climbed into anything lacking accuracy. JP finished on 13 not out while Don made 9 and 11.

Man of the Match was JP.
