Match report Carnegie Comets bravely went down to defeat against Townhill Thunder on Tuesday nite in a game that was marred by a dramatic bust up between two of Carnegie's experienced players. Niall Walker and Bob Hunter had to be seperated by astonished team-mates as they argued as to which one of them deserved the TFC Award. In the end they shared it.

As for the game, Carnegie were inserted on a green track which was surrounded by a very long outfield. Walker was out to the first ball of the game followed by Hunter for a duck and Goody for 4. At 5-3 we were in trouble but Stevie showed a tremendous technique to register a very impressive 12. Mitch contributed 24 and Lafferty 16 not out. The Don played some nice shots which the outfield stopped from going to the boundary.

In reply Nelly picked up an early caught and bowled to account for Philp. A brilliant spell of leg spin bowling from D-Ream went unrewarded as Carnegie battled manfully before eventually succumbing.

A good receovery with the bat was spearheaded by Shunter. The bowling and fielding was good given the experience of the two batsman we were facing.

Man of the Match was Stevie Hunter while the TFC was shared by Nelly and Bob who seem to be having their own Race to the Pond.
